Three senior Al-Shabaab leaders are in huge trouble after they were hit with United Nations Security Council (UNSC) sanctions.
The UNSC sanctions against them were announced on Thursday.
One of the leaders sanctioned by the Security Council is a person holding dual citizenship of Somalia and Kenya.
The sanctioned Al-Shabaab leaders were identified as Mohamed Mohamud Mire and Mohamed Omar Mohamed.
The third leader is Abdukadir Mohamed Abdukadir Ikrima.
The decision to sanction them was arrived at following an official request by the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
