The Somali government welcomed the return of 30 Somali youths who had been imprisoned in Port-Sudan, Sudan, for the past five months.
The returnees arrived in Mogadishu on Wednesday a day after they were released from the Port-Sudan prison.
A Somali diplomat stated that efforts are now focused on locating 11 other teenagers who were reportedly abducted in Sudan.
The government has been actively working to ensure the safety and repatriation of its citizens amid the complex situation in Sudan.
The return of these youths is seen as a positive step, but there is still concern for those who remain missing.
