Millions of Somalis will experience food insecurity within the next three months.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), 4.3 million people in Somalia will be food insecure before the end of the year.
In its latest report, OCHA stated that food insecurity will be the result of climate shocks.
Conflicts are likely to be another contributing factor as well.
Consequently, OCHA called for increased funding. It mentioned that funding has been quite unimpressive in 2023.
The organization also called for additional resources to save more lives.
