4 Puntland Men Linked to Al-Shabaab Jailed for 10 Years

Four men in Puntland with close links to Al-Shabaab have been jailed for 10 years each.

Puntland’s military court found the men guilty of associating with Al-Shabaab.

Sitting on Friday, the military court determined that the four men had collaborated with Al-Shabaab by carrying out deadly attacks and spying for it.

Those sentenced to jail include Abdirisaq Mohamed Shire and Farhan Weirah Lihad.

Said Farah Abdiqarid and Abdiqani Ali Farah are the other two.

Furthermore, the court also sentenced two women for their role in working closely with the four men above.

The women in question are Shamso Ali Isaaq and Rahmo Weydow Abdi.

Both women will spend the next five years of their lives in prison.
