Forty-four Al-Shabaab terrorists lost their lives in an operation carried out by National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) troops.
The operation by NISA took place on Saturday in Lower Shabelle.
Abdirahman Adala, the Deputy Minister of Information, confirmed this latest development while speaking to the media.
He added that foreign military teamed up with NISA forces to obliterate the terrorists.
Adala stated that the military specifically targeted terrorists in Ali Fuuto, a location that is close to Lower Shabelle’s Kurtowarey district.
