Only 4,527 Somalis in the East African nation are under regular medication for HIV/AIDS.
The Ministry of Health’s HIV/AIDS Department confirmed this during its latest report on the status of the disease in the country.
In the report released on Wednesday, the department said that 7,746 Somalis in the country have been diagnosed as HIV/AIDS patients.
Sadiya Abdisamad, the Director of the HIV/AIDS Department, confirmed this.
She urged all patients diagnosed with HIV/AIDS to be on medication.
