51 Somaliland Citizens Languishing in Libya Repatriated

Fifty-one Somaliland citizens who have been languishing in Libya are back home.

The government repatriated them with the assistance of organizations such as the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

A plane carrying the evacuees arrived at the airport in Hargeisa on Thursday last week.

The National Refugee and Displaced Persons Agency (NRDPA) also played a crucial role in ensuring that the Somaliland citizens returned home safely.

Many of the evacuees spoke of torrid conditions in  Libya.

They expressed gratitude to the Somaliland government, IOM, and NRDPA for working hard to bring them back home.
