60 Puntland Healthcare Workers Completed Training in Child Illness Management

Puntland’s healthcare system has achieved a commendable milestone with the training of dozens of its child healthcare management workers.

By completing the Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) training, 60 health workers in Bosaso are now better equipped to provide critical care for children, addressing illnesses like malnutrition, pneumonia, diarrhea, and malaria.

The health workers completed their training on Sunday.

Such initiatives are crucial for reducing preventable child mortality and improving overall pediatric health outcomes in Somalia.
