60 Somaliland Students Who Topped National Exams Earn International Scholarships

Sixty top-performing students from Somaliland’s national exams have been awarded scholarships to study abroad.

This initiative is aimed at recognizing their academic achievements and offering them opportunities for higher education in various countries.

The scholarships will allow these students to pursue degrees in fields that are crucial for Somaliland’s development, such as science, technology, engineering, and medicine.

This program also reflects Somaliland’s commitment to investing in education and empowering its youth to contribute to the region’s progress.

The exact destinations and universities for these scholarships are yet to be confirmed.

The government of Somaliland confirmed this through the Minister of Education, Ahmed Aden Buhane, on Sunday.

Buhane added that the scholarships are for students who got A+ in the recent national examinations.
