Sixty-one vulnerable families in Middle Shabelle received food supplies from the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) troops.
ATMIS contingent from Burundi donated and distributed the supplies on Friday.
The troops, based at the forward operating base (FOB) in Buurane, also distributed non-food items to the families.
They distributed the food and non-food supplies as part of the ATMIS Civil Military Cooperation (CIMIC).
