More than 9,000 Somaliland families have benefited from a donation of food baskets that DP World recently distributed around the country.
DP World donated the food baskets to celebrate the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan. This year’s donation exceeds anything that DP World Berbera has ever donated in the past.
President Muse Bihi Abdi selected Faisal Ali, the Chairman of the National Drought Committee, to coordinate logistical and distribution plans with DP World’s staff and management.
Thus far, the food baskets have been donated in some of the highly populated regions of the country, which include Hargeisa, Berbera, Saylac, Gabiley, Burco, Caynado, and Lasanod.
