Ethiopia’s agreement with Somaliland is an attempt to annex Somalia’s territory.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said this while addressing the 37th African Union (AU) Summit.
While addressing the summit on Saturday, President Mohamud stated that Somalia will not sit back and allow Ethiopia to proceed with the annexation.
In his address, he termed the move by Ethiopia as “unconditional, illegal, and unacceptable.”
The President told the AU that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Ethiopia and Somaliland “changes Somalia’s borders.”
