Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF) killed 50 Al-Shabaab terrorists in an operation undertaken near Harardhere.
The operation, which was on Monday, led to the death of Ahmed Jiis, who is generally believed to be one of the senior Al-Shabaab fighters in the region.
According to state media, SNA troops worked closely with international security partners when attacking the militants.
