A delegation from Somaliland arrived at Mogadishu Airport

The delegation travelled from Hargeisa using Air Djibout, to deliver humanitarian aid for the flood victims in south and central Somalia.
The delegation was warmly welcomed at the airport by Somali MPs and FGS cabinet members. Among the welcoming committee, was Abdi Hayir Mareye, FGS Minister Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, who hails from Somaliland.

The delegation brought $600 000 USD, that was collected in Somaliland, as per Somalia practice, delegations responsible for delivering collected resources are exclusively made out of religious scholars. The delegation is expected to meet the FGS Emergency Committee in Mogadishu and handover the collected money.

This is not the first time the Somaliland administration is participating in the drought or flood relief mobilisation in south and central Somalia.
