A well-known local doctor was assassinated in Kismayo on Monday night, security authorities have confirmed.
The authorities confirmed that Dr. Yusuf Ahmed, more popularly known as Dr. Yusuf Yare, was killed in the Jubbaland capital on November 30.
Consequently, he becomes the second well-known personality to be murdered in Jubbaland in the last three months.
In September, a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device that killed Shafi Raabi, the Chairperson of the Jubbaland Chamber of Commerce.
Authorities have launched investigations into Dr. Yare’s horrendous murder that has left residents, especially his patients, in great shock and pain.
