Somalia and Kenya can now look forward to increased trade between them.
President William Ruto said that Kenya welcomes the wind of stability that is sweeping through Somalia.
He said this during his meeting with the Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in Nairobi.
President Mohamud is in the Kenyan capital to attend the sixth United Nations Environmental Assembly (UNEA6).
He held discussions with President Ruto at the State House, Nairobi on Wednesday shortly after landing from Mogadishu.
The Kenyan President welcomed the resumption of Kenya Airways flights to Mogadishu.
