The President of the regional state of Puntland has appointed Mohamed Abdirahman Faroole to his cabinet.
Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni appointed Faroole as his new Minister of Environment and Climate Change.
Faroole is the son of Abdirahman Mohamud Faroole who served as Puntland President from 2009 to 2014.
The younger Faroole owns the Garowe Online.
He is also an outspoken opposition figure who has been against Deni’s administration for a while now.
His appointment was confirmed on Thursday.
