A young girl was found murdered in Bosaso, a port city in Somalia’s semiautonomous region of Puntland, on October 25.
According to security agents in the region, the girl’s face had been bludgeoned beyond recognition.
Her body was removed from the scene and taken to a nearby hospital for further examination.
According to medical reports from the hospital, preliminary examination does not provide any evidence of rape or sexual defilement.
Authorities have launched investigations into the matter.
Currently, the girl’s details also remain unknown though local police have promised to provide them as soon as possible.
