The newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has commended the “reliable support” that Turkey continues to provide to Somalia.
Mohamed Abdirizak, fresh from his appointment as the new foreign affairs minister, hailed Turkey’s contribution to the development of Somalia over the years.
Abdirizak made these comments when he received Mehmet Yilmaz, the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, in his office on December 3.
The new foreign affairs minister hailed Turkey for “consistently standing by Somalia.”
He also mentioned the incredible assistance that Turkey continues to extend towards the East African nation’s military.
Turkey’s contribution towards Somalia’s development aid and the immediate response it provided to enable the latter to respond effectively to the COVID-19 pandemic were hailed too.
