Acting Prime Minister Hails Sweden for Contributing to Somalia’s Development

Mahdi M. Gulaid, Somalia’s Acting Prime Minister, has praised the contribution by the government of Sweden to the country’s development.

Gulaid stated this during his meeting with the Swedish Ambassador to Somalia on Wednesday.

His meeting with Ambassador Staffan Tillander took place in the Prime Minister’s office in Mogadishu.

During their meeting, the two leaders also discussed the socio-economic progress being made in the East African nation.

They also talked about what Somalia has to do to achieve sustainable development.

Gulaid commended Sweden for being one of Somalia’s “most important international development partners and contributors.”

Ambassador Tillander has been meeting with various government and political leaders in Somalia this week.
