The Acting United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Country Director for Somalia was in Mogadishu for discussions with the Minister of Health.
UNFPA Country Director Dr. Mary Otieno visited Dr. Ali Hajiadam Abubakar, the Somali health minister over the weekend.
During the meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health, they discussed the role of UNFPA in improving healthcare in the countryside.
Furthermore, Dr. Hajiadam and Dr. Otieno also explored opportunities for collaboration between the health ministry and UNFPA.
