Afghanistan Condemns Israel’s Recognition of Somaliland

KABUL, Afghanistan – The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s recognition of Somaliland as an independent state. In a formal statement issued on Sunday, the Ministry characterized this action as a deliberate attempt to undermine the unity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, asserting that such measures lack any legal standing.

The statement described the recognition as a “blatant violation of international law” and a direct affront to Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Kabul expressed that targeting the unity of an “Islamic nation” is unacceptable and represents a dangerous provocation with adverse implications for regional peace and stability. The Ministry maintained that these diplomatic actions by Israel possess no legitimacy or legal foundation.

By presenting the issue as an assault on the solidarity of the Muslim world, the Islamic Emirate synchronizes its position with other prominent Islamic countries that have opposed the move. The declaration reinforces the expanding global consensus that maintaining Somalia’s borders is crucial for stability, while dismissing the Israeli announcement as an illegitimate effort aimed at fostering discord in the Horn of Africa.
