The United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) officers visited the leader of the regional state of Galmudug on Wednesday.
AFRICOM officials met President Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoorqoor in Hobyo district.
They discussed issues such as the progress of the ongoing fight against terrorists in the region.
Furthermore, President Qoorqoor commended AFRICOM for the support granted to Galmudug and other regions in Somalia.
He encouraged them not to relent, as the region needs increased US military involvement and support in the fight against terrorism.
