Somaliland’s Ministry of Agriculture together with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) launched a project for Togdheer farmers.
Abdirisak Abdillahi Ibrahim, the coordinator of the agriculture ministry for Togdheer, has been in the region for much of this season leading efforts to implement the project.
All five Togdheer districts are to benefit from the project.
Abdillahi Nafaqo, the Governor of Togdheer, welcomed FAO and the ministry to the region. He commended them for supporting local farmers with life-changing opportunities.
The project seeks to equip farmers with agriculture knowledge.
It also endeavors to grant them access to modern farming equipment and tools, fertilizers, and seeds.
