Al-Shabaab Claim They Executed Five People in Jilib for Spying for the US

Al-Shabaab reported executing five people in Jilib for spying for the United States.

News regarding the execution of the five broke out on the evening of Sunday, September 4.

According to Al-Shabaab, its militants went on an execution spree after finding a few people guilty of working with the government of the US.

Al-Shabaab believes that the men were providing the US with intel.

Nevertheless, the militia group is yet to provide or publish any evidence or iota of proof regarding the claims it relied on to conduct the executions.

This year, since late July, Al-Shabaab has executed 18 people in Somalia.
