Al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack in Mogadishu’s Afrik Hotel.
On Sunday evening, the militant group claimed responsibility for a daring attack on the establishment.
The Al-Qaeda linked group said that its militants attacked the hotel at 5pm on January 31.
Several prominent Somalis were at the hotel, which is near Aden Adde International Airport, when the militants attacked.
Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility through Ash Shahada News, a news website that is affiliated to the militant group.
According to their statement, Al-Shabaab admit that the target of their Sunday evening attack were the government officials meeting at the hotel.
