Al-Shabaab Ejects Patients from a Bahdo Hospital for Treatment for Colleagues

Al-Shabaab militants have ejected patients from a Bahdo hospital to create room for their colleagues.

Reports from the region show that the militants stormed El-Bur District Hospital and discharged all patients.

Some of the patients discharged in the Monday, June 20 incident included pregnant women and malnourished children.

The militants did this to create space for 80 of their colleagues who were injured in Friday’s clashes with government forces and residents of Bahdo town.

Further, they brought along 37 bodies of their colleagues who were killed in the clashes.

Up until a few days ago, El-Bur District Hospital was non-operational. However, local residents brought it back to life.
