Al-Shabaab has executed seven men in the Bay Region.
Reports from the region indicate that Al-Shabaab militants executed the men publicly through a firing squad.
The terrorist group had accused six of the men of spying for the governments of Somalia and the United States.
Three of them were accused of providing intel about the killings of senior Al-Shabaab leaders in airstrikes that the US conducted in Somalia in April and August 2020.
Yusuf Janis, a senior Al-Shabaab leader was killed in the April 2020 airstrike.
His colleague, Abdulkadir Commandos, would also die in the August 2020 airstrike by the US.
