Al-Shabaab Extremists Kill Five People in Lamu

Al-Shabaab extremists have killed five people in Lamu.

The militants killed the five individuals in Lamu’s Majengo area on Friday, March 11. They injured one more person in the attack.

One of the injured people was a Chinese national.

Military officers found the Chinese national hiding in the bush with both his hands chopped off and bleeding profusely.

The Chinese man who survived the attack works as a supervisor in the LamuPort-South Sudan-Ethiopia-Transport (LAPSSET) Corridor project.

Al-Shabaab has already claimed responsibility for the attack.
