An Al-Shabaab fighter surrendered to Somali National Army (SNA) in Hudur.
Adow Hassan Abdi Ali, who has served Al-Shabaab for a decade, defected to the government troops on Monday.
SNA troops were in Hudur, a town in the regional state of Southwest.
They received Adow, who has been a member of the terrorist organisation since 2013.
