Al-Shabaab held a graduation ceremony in Jilib Town in southern Somalia for the first batch of students it trained.
The training was different from the normal ones that the Al-Qaeda linked group often organizes.
This time, the militia took its trainees through an Arabicized education to expose them to the ideology behind the group’s existence and operations.
Al-Shabaab’s leadership said the training is essential towards carrying out a successful campaign for capturing the mindset of youths.
Furthermore, the group’s militants admit that they need the next generation of new members trained in its ways.
