Al-Shabaab Leader Launches Stinging Verbal Attack against Somali President

The leader of the Al-Shabaab terror group has launched a stinging verbal attack against President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia.

Abu Ubaidah launched the verbal attack on Saturday, July 9.

Ubaidah promised a series of attacks against the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).

The recent remarks that President Mohamud made against Al-Shabaab seem to have rattled Ubaidah, the group’s leader.

While in Turkey, President Mohamud claimed that Al-Shabaab sends the funds that it raises from Somalia to other African nations.

Specifically, he mentioned Nigeria and Mozambique.

In his verbal attack, Ubaidah called President Mohamud’s government “apostate.”

Furthermore, he said the Somali government is not founded upon Islam and accused it of failing to implement Sharia.
