Al Shabaab-Linked Men Executed in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU — A military court in Mogadishu executed two men on Tuesday who were convicted of murder and ties to the Al-Shabaab militant group.

Judicial authorities announced that the sentence was carried out following the completion of all legal procedures. The individuals were identified as:

  • Abdi Abdiqadir Mohamed

  • Farhan Mahmoud Abdinur

Convicted of Targeted Killings

According to court records, the pair was responsible for killing four civilians in the capital. Authorities claimed these attacks endangered public security and targeted innocent residents.

Judicial officials stated that the implementation of the sentence complied with Somali laws and demonstrated the government’s dedication to accountability for militancy-related offenses.
