Somalia National Army announced that an Al-Shabaab militia surrendered to government troops. The militia, Olad Abdirahman Herow, surrendered himself at Hudur, Bakool.
Ibrahim Issack Ibrahim, Hudur’s District Security Commissioner, says Herow has lived locally. He thanked the former terrorist for quitting Al-Shabaab.
While quitting the militia, the former militant said, “I served Al-Shabaab as a driver for the past 11 years. Now, I request members of the public to forgive and accept me back to the society.
Al-Shabaab is yet to comment on these latest developments.
