Al-Shabaab murdered and buried its own fighters in Adan Yabal district.
The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has declared that the militants murdered its fighters who had been injured during recent altercations with Somali National Army (SNA) troops.
Earlier this week, SNA troops came across mass graves in Adan Yabal, a district that the government recently liberated from terrorists.
Thereafter, the government launched investigations into the presence of the mass graves.
The investigations revealed that the dead had been members of the terrorist group.
The Somali government called the whole scenario “un-Islamic and immoral.” The place where the mass graves were found reeks of rotten flesh.
The government issued the statement following a visit to the district by Ali Hussein Gudlawe and Ali Jeyte.
Gudlawe is the President of the regional state of HirShabelle while Jeyte is the Governor of Hiiraan.
