Reports indicate that Danab Forces carried out a military operation in southern Somalia early on Saturday, October 24.
Military sources have confirmed that the operation was successful.
One of Al-Shabaab’s chief finance controllers was killed during the operation. He has been identified as Abdirahman Abdalla, also known as Abu Ayman.
Ayman’s bodyguards were also killed in today’s covert operation.
Sources have confirmed that the operation took place at a place that is between Bal’ad and Afgoye in southern Somalia.
In recent weeks and months, Afgoye has been the scene of constant clashes between the military and Al-Shabaab extremists.
The incident is the latest in a series of operations the military is carrying out against the militia.
