Alarm in Somalia over Surge in Cholera Outbreak

Panic and alarm gripped Somalia over a surge in cholera Outbreak in the nation.

The Ministry of Health stated that the surge is a result of the intense El Nino rains and floods that took place in late 2023.

According to the ministry, the country has recorded 2,567 new cases of cholera since January.

The disease has claimed 23 lives in the first two months of the year.

Members of the public were urged to observe hygiene to reduce the outbreak and prevent further spread.
