The European Union (EU) Ambassador to Somalia has commended Dahabshiil Bank for the sterling role it is playing in the country’s parliamentary elections.
Nicolas Berlanga, the EU Ambassador to Somalia, traveled to Hargeisa in Somaliland for a meeting with the officials of the bank.
Ambassador Berlanga visited the bank on November 22.
He commended the technical support the bank is providing to ensure that the upcoming parliamentary polls in the region are a success.
According to Berlanga, private sector is central to the development of the country.
Berlanga also urged the private sector not to keep off from playing roles that help to support the nurturing of democracy.
