The United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Somalia, Ben Fender, addresses the opening session of the Somali Partnership Forum (SPF).
In his address, Ambassador Fender reiterated the importance of building the East African nation.
Furthermore, he said that the country yearns for credible elections, which he listed as more “important than anything else.”
Fender was speaking on the first day of the SPF on December 7.
In his Monday address, Ambassador Fender reminded Somalis of the importance of healthy competition in politics.
Nevertheless, he stated that any competition in politics that causes the destruction of Somalia’s laws and agreements should be viewed as “unacceptable” by all Somalis.
