Ambassador Mohamed Hagi, Somaliland’s Representative to Taiwan, toured several hospitals in the East Asian country.
Hagi was on a fact-finding mission.
During his fact-finding mission, Ambassador Hagi visited several major hospitals in two Taiwan cities; that is, Yunlin and Changhua.
Taiwan has invested in Somaliland’s healthcare system and facilities since the two nations established strong diplomatic ties mid this year.
Further, President Tsai Ing-wen’s administration has also pledged to airlift any person in Somaliland who needs specialized treatment to Taiwan.
Ambassador Hagi expressed his belief that Taiwan would invest more funds, personnel, training, and other resources to his nation’s health sector.
