The African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) concluded induction training for 160 newly deployed police officers.
The police officers were from Uganda.
AMISOM concluded the four-day training of police officers who were from Uganda on January 7, 2021.
The induction training was to acquaint the officers with the environment where they would be working.
AMISOM said that the training would also allow its new officers to familiarize themselves with its mandate in the East African nation.
Hellen Obol, a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) heads the new unit.
Augustine Kailie, AMISOM Police Commissioner who doubles as Assistant Inspection General of Police (AIGP), encouraged the officers to serve diligently.
