African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has delivered 10 heavy-duty concrete road barriers to Somali Police Force (SPF).
AMISOM delivered the concrete jersey barriers to SPF on December 18.
The concrete jersey barriers would help police officers to secure the ongoing parliamentary elections in the country.
Somalia is currently holding elections for House of the People (Lower House) seats.
The barriers would act as defense barriers at polling stations.
AMISOM donated the barriers at the request of the SPF, whose duty includes securing the ongoing polls.
United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) worked closely with AMISOM to deliver the barriers.
