AMISOM delivered equipment to several police stations in the Southwest State. The donation is part of support that AMISOM extends to the Somalia police force to make it easier for officers to operate efficiently.
AMISOM’s mandate includes training Somalia police force and the military. The organization believes that training without modern equipment would not allow police officers to serve the public well.
Police stations in Bardaale, Hudur, Baidoa, Marka, and Afgoye in Somalia’s Southwest State will benefit from this donation. The equipment donated to the stations includes an assortment of tables, filing cabinets, and chairs.
The remoteness of the stations in question makes them ideal for the donations. Somalia government plans to increase the number of police officers in these stations too. Consequently, the equipment that AMISOM donated will be immensely helpful to them.
