African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has donated an assortment of football supplies to youths in Jubbaland.
AMISOM officers delivered the items on Thursday, December 10.
Osman Haji Feyruus, the Jubbaland Minister of Youth and Sports, received the donation officially at a colorful ceremony held in Kismayo.
The items AMISOM officers donated include football jerseys, balls, goal posts, and shin guards.
While receiving the supplies, Feyruus expressed gratitude to AMISOM for the donation, which is enough for kitting four teams.
Lt. Col. Samuel Musomi, AMISOM’s Acting Commander of the Sector Six Unit, also supervised the ceremony on behalf of the troops.
Ahmed Farah Taqal, the Chairman of Jubbaland Football Federation (JFF) attended the ceremony too.
