AMISOM Donates Fresh Medical Supplies to Hiran’s Health Facilities

On Thursday, the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) donated fresh medical aid to help Hiran’s health facilities cope with the challenges facing them.

Djiboutian and Ethiopian contingent of AMISOM delivered a fresh batch of medical supplies to authorities in Hiran.

The troops said their donation would go towards boosting provision of quality healthcare in the region.

This was the second donation by the same troops. Just like in the first donation, the fresh supplies are for the benefit of the local communities.

In the first donation, which took place two weeks ago, Beledweyne General Hospital was the biggest recipient of the supplies.

The supplies included drugs and syringes.

Governor Ali Jeyte Osman of Hiran received the donation on behalf of the region’s entire team of administrators during a function that took place at Hiran Regional Hospital.

Major Osman Obiye Hosh, the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of AMISOM’s Sector 4, handed over the supplies as part of their effort to support healthcare workers and facilities in Hiran.
