AMISOM in a COVID-19 Sensitization Campaign in Dhobley

African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has dispatched its troops to Dhobley on a COVID-19 sensitization campaign.

While in Dhobley, the troops are expected to hand over boxes of hand sanitizers and washing soap. They are also donating public sensitization materials to the local community.

The Coordinator of Jubaland’s Ministry of Health, Noor Bihi Osman, underlined the importance of the sensitization campaign.

Osman also acknowledged the support that Jubaland authorities had received from AMISOM in implementing measures necessary to curb the spread of the virulent disease in the region.

Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) is in charge of the Dhobley sector. Consequently, its contingent participated in the campaign.

A Senior Medical Officer with KDF’s AMISOM contingent, Maj. Dr. Ephantus Munyuko said the operation is essential in providing the military and local community with the right information.
