African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has recommitted itself to the fight against sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in the workplace.
AMISOM made this announcement on December 10 while commemorating the International Human Rights Day.
The organization made the announcement during a virtual roundtable discussion between senior police officers and gender focal persons.
During the discussion, participants reiterated the important role civilians play in protecting potential victims while offering adequate support to SGBV survivors.
