African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) said that it would continue supporting the entrepreneurial efforts of Somali women.
AMISOM reiterated its commitment to Somali women on January 23.
While announcing its commitment to women in the country, AMISOM stated its belief that they remain the backbone of communities.
According to AMISOM, women need all the support they can get since some of them act as their families’ breadwinners.
For this reason, the organization recommitted itself to support efforts to empower women.
Since its establishment and deployment to Somalia, AMISOM has donated multiple tools such as sewing machines to women in the nation.
