African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) announced plans to support the development of sports in Jubbaland.
AMISOM made this commitment when delivering assortment of sports kits to youth teams in the semiautonomous region of Jubbaland.
Osman Haji Feyruus received the assortment of kits for development of youth football on behalf of the Jubbaland administration.
Feyruus is the Minister of Youth and Sports in Jubbaland.
Lt. Col. Samuel Musomi, Acting Commander of AMISOM’s Sector Six Unit, handed over the donation to Feyruus.
The donation included football jerseys, balls, goal post nets, and shin guards.
AMISOM indicated that the kits would help four youth football teams in the region.
