African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) trained Somalia’s elections implementation teams on elections safety and security.
The 2-day training kicked off on February 14 in Mogadishu.
Personnel who took part in the training are mandated to manage the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections in the East African nation.
AMISOM’s Political Affairs Unit facilitated the training.
Additionally, officers from AMISOM’s police unit and the Somali Police Force (SPF) were involved in the training.
Over 50 members from the Federal Electoral Implementation Team (FEIT) and State Electoral Implementation Team (SEIT) attended the training.
